Housing
 Housing in Snowflake is as diverse as the
region itself. From small homes inside the town, to sprawling
ranches with multi-story homes in the thousands of square
feet, you're sure to find a house that will suit your
lifestyle. Architectural styles range from southwestern ranch
to turn-of-the-century block masonry.
Sharing the same elevation as many of the more popular areas
of Arizona, Snowflake is considered by some as "recently
discovered" for its safe streets, an outstanding education
system, and neighbors who care. Geographically located amongst
the most popular attractions in the southwest, be it the cool
Ponderosa pines of the White Mountains to the south, or the
signature southwestern scenery of the Native American
reservations to the north, Snowflake is growing in popularity
both as a retirement community or a second home.
Unlike some of the more popular areas of Arizona, Snowflake
sits atop the Coconino-Sandstone aquifer, one of the largest
aquifers in the southwest, ensuring that plentiful water will
always be available to support the growth.
New Homes and Homesites
 New
developments range from $150,000-$250,000 for 1/3 acre homes
adjacent to the golf course, with livable areas of 1500-2500
SF. Land is also available for purchase to build your own
custom home, priced in the range of $40,000-60,000 per 1/3
acre parcel. Each of these parcels lie within the Town limits,
providing municipal utilities. Many of the new homes and
homesites are within view of the new Snowflake Temple; some
are within walking distance.
Just north of the golf course lie 1.5 acre parcels that sell
for approximately $20,000 per parcel, and include access to
the Town potable water system.
Existing Homes
A variety of existing homes to suit a broad range of
lifestyles and budgets are available. For example, entry
level, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1400 SF homes on a quarter acre sell
in the range of $85,000-125,000.
Mid-ranged homes are priced between $150,000-200,000 for
2500-3500 SF homes on a quarter acre. Custom homes can be
found in the area, overlooking the community, adjacent to the
golf course, and within walking distance to the new temple, in
the range of $300,000-400,000. The average selling time for
homes in Snowflake is approximately 3 months.
