Cemetery

The cemetery is maintained year-round by the Department, with infrastructure improvements constantly taking place. The cemetery will soon be expanded to the west, almost doubling the size of the existing cemetery.

Rules, Specifications, and Restrictions

1. Grave sizes are 5' x 12 '

2. All new headstones must have a ground level cement foundation 4-inches thick that extends 4-inches beyond the base of the headstone on all four sides. Be sure to contact the Recreation and Parks Department to set a headstone or to have a headstone set. All foundation forms must be approved before concrete can be poured.

3. Plot areas must be free from trees, flowers, rocks, etc. Headstones (including base) and shrubs are limited to 26" in height measured from the top of the foundation. Width limits: 36" single - 60" double. Depth limit: 18". Shrubs must be in line with the headstone. The Town of Snowflake will not accept headstones (including the base) over the set limits and is not responsible for any expenses incurred for headstones that do not meet these requirements.

4. The Town of Snowflake and their agents are not responsible for any damages at the grave site to include: headstones, trees, shrubs, flower arrangements, etc.

5. Grave sites may only be sold back to the Town of Snowflake at the original purchase price.

6. Vaults are required. No wood or cement vaults allowed

7. Burial arrangements should be made 48 hours before the service date.
