Recreation and Parks Facilities

City Parks

2 Parks and heritage square are maintained by the Department. Pioneer Park  includes racquetball courts, sand volleyball, a band shell, ramadas and picnic facilities, and playground equipment. The ramadas and band shell can be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis by contacting Town Hall, extension 4. There is no charge for residents.

Frederickson Park has picnic areas, playground equipment, a lighted softball field, and lighted tennis courts. Residents wishing to use the facility or field for special purposes that include use of the lights should contact Town Hall. In the future, this Park will be enhanced with a youth skate park.

On Saturdays, Heritage Square becomes home to an Arts and Crafts fair where local artisans show their works. Food, drinks, and entertainment are also offered. The square, dedicated to the Heritage of Snowflake, has shaded seating areas.

Little League Field

A lighted Little League Field is home to a variety of baseball activities, ranging from t-ball to minors and majors. The field is a popular gathering point for tournaments and games, and is also used off season as a practice field for the youth soccer league. As with all the facilities, use of the field is available at no cost to residents at any time when the field is not in use.

Swimming Pool

Each summer, the swimming pool is a major attraction for residents of all ages. Adult lap swimming, swimming lessons, public swim, and pool rentals are available.
