Planning and Zoning

Text Box: The Master Plan is a document developed by and for the residents of the Town of Snowflake, and interpretation of the Master Plan, discussion on rezoning requests, variances, special use permits and temporary use permits are handled through Planning and Zoning. Planning and Zoning also assists with Floodplain Clearances, as required by Federal law. The "404 Permit" process is required in areas of Snowflake that are affected by the active floodplains of Silver Creek and Cottonwood Wash. The Town of Snowflake encourages active participation by residents in the planning process. Planning Meetings are held first and third Tuesdays, and are an opportunity for informal discussion on zoning issues. The findings and recommendations of the Planning Meetings are passed on to the Town Council for formal adoption and decision. Please contact Snowflake Town Hall a week in advance to be placed on the agenda.
