Planning and Zoning

 

Our desire is to provide comprehensive community oriented services.  We feel it important to respond in a timely and efficient  manner to all zoning issues.  We believe that through consistent adherence to the Snowflake Town Code, residents and land owners of Snowflake will enjoy the benefits of an orderly community, and neighborhoods that enhance our overall image and property values.

 

The Planning & Zoning Department provides developmental services for the administration of the Town of Snowflakes land use regulations.  Our services include, zoning, subdivisions, lot splits, lot combinations, Planned Area Developments, variances, Special Use Permits, Floodplain Use Permits, addressing, and Zoning Code enforcement.

 

When contacted regarding a land use matters, our staff will:

 

·         Schedule a Concept Review (pre-application) meeting between yourself and staff from the Planning Department, along with other affected Town agencies; and

·         Schedule a public hearing before the Planning Commission to include staff recommendation; and

·         Schedule a public hearing before the Town Council for a decision (i.e. approval/denial).

 

These certain land use matters may include:

  • General Plan and Amendments

  • Subdivision Development

  • Planned Area Developments

  • Zoning Change Requests

  • Site Plan Review

  • Special Use Permits

  • Zone Change Requests

 

In addition to the above services the Planning & Zoning Department provides zoning clearance for building and manufactured home placement permits.
