Public Works-Sewer Department
Connecting to the Town's Sewer Collection System
New homes and businesses within the Town's limits
can connect to the Town's sewer supply starting at $400 for a standard
connection, plus a $30 refundable deposit. Please see the connection
chart for the costs of larger sizes. Water and
sewer hookup forms are available at Town Hall, or you can click here
to download a copy of the form. Once the completed form has been
reviewed by Town personnel, and payment has been received, Blue
Stake is called in to locate the exact location of other utilities
that might be affected by the dig before crews can begin
construction. The location process usually takes less than 3 working
days, at which time the Town's installation crew can begin hookup.
Monthly service fees or other fees may apply. Please
see our Sewer Fees page for more information.
Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion
Scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2002, the
expansion include a new oxidation ditch, which will be added in
combination with two new 36-foot diamter, 12-foot deep clarifiers.
This doubling of the capacity of the treatment plant is part of a
planned phased-in growth to accommodate the recent rapid growth in
Snowflake. The expansion is planned to cover 5 to 7 years growth.
Gary Leach, Department Supervisor, works at the
waste water treatment plant, and handles the lift stations,
collection system, and operations of the plant. A native of Kenosha
Wisconsin, Gary has been with the Public Works Department since
1987, and has been running the wastewater treatment plant since
1988.
