JOB REQUIREMENTS:    AZ P.O.S.T. Certified Police Officer – Officer pay based on years of experience,                                     training, other qualifications.  All candidates must successfully complete a written                                     exam, physical fitness test and pass a thorough background check, polygraph                                     exam, drug screen, and physical examination.

  

EDUCATION:                 Applicants must be 21 years of age and have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.  AZPOST Police Certification is mandatory.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:    Under the direction of supervision, performs daily activities of the patrol unit.  Work is performed in accordance with Federal, State, and Local laws and ordinances, as well as departmental rules and regulations.  Prepares required reports and keeps the patrol supervisor informed concerning all matters affecting the value of the assigned unit to include personnel matters, departmental policy and criminal activity.

 

SALARY:                      $39,046 – $41,233 AZPOST Lateral – Based on Experience
