Councilmember Lavell Gardner
Councilmember
Lavell Gardner was elected to Council in May of 2003.
"I had alot of questions, and felt the best way to get
answers was to get involved," explains Mrs. Gardner on her
decision to run for office.
A lifetime resident of Snowflake, and descendent of the
original Webb family, she and her husband of over 40 years
are proud of their three children (2 of which are also
making their home in Snowflake) and 5 grandchildren.
She would like to see expansion of retail to build on the
tax base, provide employment opportunities, and improve
the quality of life for the residents. As a former
business owner in Snowflake, Councilmember Gardner looks
forward to providing her unique insight into the Town's
economic development efforts.
She believes that maintaining quality growth is one of the
challenges for Snowflake.
"We hope to ensure the quality of life we enjoy today for
the families of the future by comprehensive planning and
code enforcement," says Mrs. Gardner.
"I've learned that getting involved is the best way that
one can have in impact on the future of their community. I
encourage residents to participate in their government, be
it on committees, voicing their opinions, or simply
attending council meetings."
"You don't necessarily have to run for office," she says
with a smile, "to have have an impact on our future."
Residents are encouraged to share their
viewpoints regarding policy matters with members of the
Council, who can be contacted through Town Hall.
