Arizona's White Mountains

Snowflake is the northernmost community in the region known as Arizona's White Mountains. With a trading area of approximately 30,000 residents, the area is known principally for its tourism and natural resources industries. The geographic and cultural diversity of the region provides visitors with a wealth of opportunities during their stay to the region. The region is known for it's outstanding fishing, camping, hiking, and hunting, while in the winter months cross-country and downhill skiing in Arizona's premier ski area, Sunrise, are popular destinations. Golf, shopping, world-class culinary experiences, and even gaming at the Hon-Dah Casino round out the diversity of the attractions.

The White Mountain Regional Development Corporation provides assistance to businesses wishing to expand or relocate into the region. The non-profit organization provides businesses with information and site tours of the communities in the White Mountains.

 

The White Mountain Partnership consists of member communities and the White Mountain Apache Tribe in a concerted effort to promote tourism and visitors to the area. The Partnership is the centralized information point for tourist-related activities, and provides visitors, travel industry professionals, and tour operators with comprehensive information regarding transportation, lodging, dining, attractions, and seasonal events.
